Jazan University Employees: The decision to resume studies through distance mode provides a safe environment for education

The employees of Jazan University praised the directives issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz AlSaud and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God preserve them – to resume studying “remotely” for the academic year 1442 AH, stressing that the efforts of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hammad AlSheikh, embody the ministry’s keenness to ensure the continuation of the education process in a safe environment. These precautionary measures shall ensure the safety of education personnel and will preserve their health during the prevalence of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, said that the rational leadership’s support for education is unlimited, as it is keen on the interest and safety of students, adding that the university has distinguished cadres qualified academically and technically, and the university’s students have achieved great successes during the past period, as well. The university designed training manuals to facilitate the process of distance education, and worked on the rehabilitation of more than 23 e-learning units in the university’s colleges.

The Vice President of the University Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Ali Ma’ashi indicated that the decision to resume remote study was in the best interest of male and female students to protect them from the Corona virus. He added that distance education is one of the features of the current era, and it also poses a challenge for families and is a major national duty to participate in the educational process that serves the country and is for the benefit of our future generations.

While the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Ishaq, affirmed that the resumption of the new academic year through distance education took into account the current circumstances and reflects the keenness of our wise leadership on the health of citizens and residents. It would be best for their safety while ensuring the resumption of studies and achieving quality in the educational process, adding that the university is proud of its successful experience in e-learning and distance education with its highly distinguished professors. The university also works to harness all capabilities and services to achieve the highest levels of quality in the educational process.

While the Vice President for Student Affairs (Female Section), Prof. Dr. Aisha Bint Hassan Zikri, praised the decision to resume distance education, and confirmed that e-learning and distance education are in line with the continuing developments in the global educational process, explaining that it is the future option, and it enhances the capabilities of students technically and strengthens the role of the family, which will be an essential partner in the educational process.
