His Excellency the President of Jazan University Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, chaired the University Council meeting at its tenth session for the year 1441 AH, which was held – remotely – today, Monday, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the University Council Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Saleh, the University Vice Presidents, Deans, Vice Deans of colleges and Supporting Deanships.

The President of the University began the session by praying for the speedy recovery and good health of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz AlSaud – may God protect him.

While the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Secretary of the University Council, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abu Rasin, explained that the Council approved a number of decisions, including: promotion of 6 Saudi faculty members to the rank of Assistant Professor and 12 to the rank of Lecturer, approval of  54 teaching assistants and lecturers to pursue Master’s and Doctoral degrees in various specializations, granting of Master’s degrees to 26 male and female students, approval for adoption of the administrative and financial regulations for investment at Jazan University, and agreeing to reconfigure the permanent committee of plans, scientific curricula and the academic system, and approving a program Diploma of the Arabic language for non-native speakers.
