Jazan University launches Al-Furqan competition for memorizing and reciting the Holy Qur’an

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Jazan University launched the Al-Furqan competition for memorizing and reciting the Holy Qur’an for Jazan University students, under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Yahya bin Ali Faqihi, explained that this year’s contest coincides with the blessed month of Ramadan, and seeks to discover the talents of male and female students in memorizing and reciting the Holy Quran. He informed that the competition shall have four categories: memorizing the entire Qur’an; memorizing twenty parts; memorizing ten parts; and the best recitation for non-memorizers.

Dr. Faqihi called on University students to participate in the competition. He noted the support of His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, and the follow-up of the Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Yahya Arishi, to all programs and activities of the Deanship of Student Affairs to develop the talents and skills of University students.
