The cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid courses for security personnel concludes at Jazan University

The Life Support and Clinical Simulation Unit at the College of Medicine concluded the thirteenth and final course for security and safety personnel at the University, in cooperation with the University Security Department and the Deanship of Human Resources. The Unit conducted training courses in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid.

The project aimed to train all (378) security and safety employees at the University on emergency situations that might occur at the workplace, how to deal with them, and provide urgent care in order to save the life of the injured or sick person.

The course started with showing videos of the Saudi Heart Association on cardiopulmonary resuscitation, then Dr. Yasser Babiker explained the method of cardiopulmonary resuscitation on dolls that simulate reality. Dr. Samira Omar, then explained with a detailed presentation of first aid and how to deal with emergency situations.

At the end of the course, the trainees were practically trained in CPR and first aid, and certificates from the unit were issued to all trainees.

For his part, the Assistant Supervisor of the Clinical Skills Unit at the College of Medicine, Professor Waheed Sahaqi, thanked His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, for supporting the project, and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Anwar Makin for the continuous follow-up, the Security and Safety Department at Jazan University, and the members of the Life Support and Clinical Simulation Unit at the College of Medicine.
