Jazan University announces the controls of the educational process for the first semester

Jazan University announced the controls for the progress of the educational process scheduled for the first semester of the academic year 1442 AH based on the directives issued regarding the resumption of the academic year. It is in accordance with a plan that strengthens the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve health safety and the quality of the educational process, and to ensure the safe return of male and female students, in order to preserve their well-being in the midst of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).

His Excellency Prof. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Council of Universities Affairs, Dr. Hammad AlSheikh, for his support and careful follow-up of all plans and efforts to resume studies. His Excellency noted the great interest and support that Jazan University and its affiliates have received from the wise leadership. This has reflected in the successes the university has achieved ever since the University transformed its teaching process to fully online during the last semester.

While the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Ishaq, explained that the university approved several controls for the progress of the educational process during the first semester, including teaching the theoretical side of scientific courses (remotely) in virtual classes through the electronic system “Blackboard”, in addition to determining a mechanism for teaching courses that have a practical or clinical aspect, so that they are conducted in attendance or by the method of blended education, in order to ensure the achievement of precautionary measures to preserve the health of students and University personnel.

Dr. Ishaq added that the colleges will develop a plan for field training in coordination with the training authorities, taking into account the precautionary measures or through distance education, in addition to the colleges’ readiness with alternative plans to return to remote teaching, in anticipation of any emergency circumstances.
