University Council approves scholarships for 135 Teaching Assistants and Lecturers; Jazan University President, stresses the importance of early preparation for the Academic year

His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani stressed on the importance of early preparation for the start of the academic year and the implementation of guidance programs to prepare new students for university life and familiarize them with the university’s regulations. The colleges, deanships, and university administrations have joined forces to make the plans for the start of the new academic year successful.

This came during his presidency of the University Council in its tenth session for the academic year 1442 AH, which was held in-person this morning in the University Council Hall in the Administrative Tower, in the presence of Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, Secretary-General of University Council Affairs, and members of the University Council.

The Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Secretary of the University Council, Prof. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, explained that the council took a number of decisions, including the appointment of 12 Saudi faculty members and those of similar status to the rank of Assistant Professor, approving scholarships of 135 male and female teaching assistants and lecturers to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees in different disciplines, approval of the guidelines for faculty members, approval of the appointment of the editorial board members of Jazan Journal of Humanities and Jazan Journal of Applied Sciences, approval of the accreditation of candidates for the university’s financial control, and approval of the re-formation of the permanent committee for plans, scientific curricula and the system of academic year for a period of one year, and granting an exceptional opportunity to a number of postgraduate students.
