A new mechanism for depositing allowances for students at Jazan University

Jazan University, represented by the Deanship of Admission and Registration for all male and female students, announced the adoption of a new mechanism for depositing allowances for university students. They will be deposited in current bank accounts, instead of the University ATM card, with the aim of students benefiting from the advantages of a current bank account.

The Deanship called on all university students, whether new and regular, to update and enter bank data through the student’s account in the academic system portal.

The Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Ahmed bin Yahya Faqihi, expressed his thanks to His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, for his support in developing the services provided to University students and harnessing all capabilities for them. He explained the advantages of converting to the new system as it will enable students to benefit from current accounts to carry out various banking operations. From depositing, withdrawing, transferring and dealing directly with local banks and benefiting from their services, such as obtaining new and alternative ATM cards, issuing account statements, and logging into electronic services for current accounts, which will enable them to receive bonus deposit messages on mobile.

Dr. Faqihi indicated that the old student cards will continue for regular students until their suspension is announced, indicating that the conditions for using the new cards and obtaining them require that the students have a bank account and then update the IBAN by entering the academic system portal, then the university student’s account and choosing the update icon and fill out the form.

With regard to students who do not have IBAN accounts, they must open current accounts in any of the local banks and update their data after that, explaining that the transformation process has started and the update period will end for the newcomers next Thursday corresponding to 3/3/1442 AH, while it will extend for regular students until Thursday of the next month, corresponding to 4/4/1442 AH.
