Message of Vice Dean for Research and Development

The Vice Deanship for Research and Development is concerned with advancing the educational and research process, and community service, through its joint work with the deanships and scientific departments of the College, and its continuous communication with the Deanship of Academic Development at the University. The vice deanship also seeks to uncover the most prominent obstacles that stand in the way of improving the academic process in the college and to search for permanent solutions that ensure the development and improvement of education in line with economic, technical, cultural and social changes. The College Vice Deanship for Research and Development seeks to develop the skills of the college's employees, male and female students, faculty members, and administrators, while believing in the importance of enhancing personal aspects and technical skills that will raise their performance and efficiency. The Vice Deanship assumes the responsibility of accrediting the academic programs of the college, through the application of an integrated internal system that enhances the concept of quality and its importance, and achieves the highest levels of performance in all areas of its work.

Tasks of Vice Dean

  • Creating the culture of quality, and promoting its concept at the college level.
  • Creating an internal quality system and working on developing it continuously.
  • Work to follow up the college’s achievement of academic accreditation requirements.
  • Supervising the preparation, implementation, evaluation and updating of the college’s strategic and operational plans.
  • Determining the training needs of the college’s employees, including students, faculty members, and administrators, and making the necessary plans to implement them.
  • Urging and motivating faculty members in scientific departments to provide training courses for college employees.
  • Nominating faculty members to participate in the training courses offered by the Deanship of Academic Development.
  • Highlighting the distinguished creative efforts in the educational, research and administrative process in the college.
  • Preparing and updating the Vice Deanship’s organizational structure, the task description of the units, determining the coordination between them, and supervising the preparation of the strategic and operational plans for each unit.
  • Continuous communication with the Deanship of Academic Development to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal quality system in the college, through coordination with the Dean of the College.
  • Submit proposals to form committees related to the work of the College Vice Deanship for Development and Quality.
  • Continuous coordination with the Vice Deans and Coordinators of Academic Departments in order to achieve the College’s goals.
  • Communicating with the colleges, deanships and departments at the University regarding everything that would facilitate the implementation of the Vice Deanship’s tasks and achieve its goals, through His Excellency the Dean of the College.
  • Preparing a detailed report related to the process of academic accreditation for the college programs, and submitting it to the College Dean.
  • Executing the tasks delegated to the Vice Dean by the College Board or by His Excellency the Dean of the College.
  • Supervising the preparation of the Annual College Report.
