Unit of Study Plans and Academic Programs
Formed by the decision of the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs No. 11422 dated 2/3/1439 AH, it is administratively linked to the Assistant Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, and it is a unit concerned with the file of preparing and developing study plans and academic programs in cooperation with academic departments according to the latest theories and global trends in this field, before being presented The permanent committee for plans and curricula and the university council must approve them.
Unit tasks:
1- Supervising the processes of preparing and developing study plans and academic programs in cooperation with the scientific departments of the faculties, in the light of following up on the latest theories and global trends and the needs of the labor market.
2- Preparing a comprehensive guide for the specifications and standards necessary for preparing and developing study plans and academic programs in line with the strategic plan of the university, and developing it periodically.
3- Coordination between the concerned authorities in the university and colleges to control the relationship between them regarding the development of study plans and academic programs according to a comprehensive and cooperative mechanism that is commensurate with theoretical and field changes in the fields of knowledge.
4- Follow up the work of the study plans and academic programs committees in departments and colleges.
5- Submitting proposals to suitable universities and institutions to establish partnerships with them in order to develop study plans and academic programs.
6- Supervising the processes of evaluating students’ learning outcomes at the academic program level, and providing consultations to scientific departments on how to analyze the results of academic course exams.
7- Preparing measurement tools (measurements, questionnaires, note cards, etc...) necessary for the evaluation processes.
8- Submitting periodic reports on the work of the unit to the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs.
